This is book 1 in a 20 book series that follows Amelia Peabody and her family as they work as archaeologists in Egypt in the late 1800s/early 1900s. Each book has a mystery! The series is so fun with great characters. I appreciate that all of the details about Ancient Egypt are accurate because the author had a PhD in Egyptology. The audiobooks are available on Hoopla, and it’s easy to find paperback copies secondhand since the series is older.
